Safety Training Cal/OSHA requires that every employer shall establish, implement and maintain an effective Injury and Illness Prevention Program (“Program”), the Program shall be in writing, and shall at a minimum provide training and instruction to all new employees. Cal/OSHA also requires that all new employees also receive training and instruction for the hazards likely to be encountered on the job as well as mandatory safety training on a variety of other subjects. For a high-hazard industry, like the construction industry, Cal/OSHA requires that every jobsite have a person certified in CPR/First Aid who will be present at the job site at all times.
